Suicide is the intentional homicide of oneself, how does this equate with bible teaching it is evident in Gen 9: 5-6 that the lord God is lord over life in the world and the life is in the blood. He alone will require it, this was enforce by the sixth commandment in Ex: 20-13 and Deut: 5-17 thou shall not kill. Murder is forbidden acting as an accomplice to murder, abortion is forbidden from the moment of conception, self mutilation, euthanasia, and murder of the handicapped, the sick, infirmity and the dying. Clearly under the law doing such acts is in violation of God law and is punishable by death.

For centuries one who committed suicide was frown upon by the church and one who committed such act was refuse from getting a formal funeral and this was called a mortal sin. We are under grace and Jesus speaks on the importance of love. Revealing the greatest commandants in Matt 22: 36-40 is to love the lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with thy entire mind, the first and greatest commandment and the second is like unto it thou shall love thy neighbour as thyself. True love overcomes all obstacles in life and there is no greater love that God can do than sending his only son to be a sin bearer of the world St John 3:-16.
